“Do you want to start a blog?”

I have asked this question to many friends. Most say yes. They want to start a blog —  a WordPress blog, personal website, or something similar. And yet almost no one blogs.

When I ask the reason why they don’t start their blog, most of them answer: I don’t know what to write about.

Not having good-enough ideas is a legit problem.

I love blogging. I am a self-proclaimed blog connoisseur. And I might get a tattoo someday saying ‘Blogging > Oxygen’

Yet I do not publish blogs frequently because of a lack of ideas. I suffer from the same problem as my friends do but to a lesser degree. So, naturally, the question arises: how to come up with original ideas?

I propose a solution to our problem:

If an original idea strikes you, you publish it. But if you can’t come up with an original idea, just pick an idea worth sharing with someone else, write it in your style, and publish it.

I often find good ideas in obscure books, buried YouTube comments, lesser-known interviews, and whatnot. You must too. I propose that these foods for thought are potential blog posts. I propose that these ideas are Ted talks that people never gave but you could.
